Christophe Chaillou founded Creative Tours in Limassol in 1985. It has stayed a family company. In Cyprus it handles the clients of large European and international tour operators, and works inbound for thirteen markets.
MICE has had its own department since 1990: Creative DMC builds conferences, incentives for up to 600 participants and corporate events. More than forty professionals now run the group’s departments. We have welcomed more than 1.5 million travellers in Cyprus since 1985.
On the ground for 41 years, the company signs its contracts directly, hotel by hotel. Our best negotiated rates are reserved for our clients.
At the Cyprus Tourism Awards 2024, the company took six awards: four Gold and two Bronze.

Christophe Chaillou founded Creative Tours in Limassol in 1985 and has run it ever since. He turned this family company into a ground operator that receives, in Cyprus, the clients of European and international tour operators, recognised six times at the Cyprus Tourism Awards 2024. Attica · The capital
The Acropolis watches over the city, Plaka unwinds its lanes, the terraces look out on the Parthenon. Athens is a city you walk, between three thousand years and the morning coffee. This is where the company welcomes you, just off Syntagma Square.
Direct flights from Europe; Piraeus 40 minutes away for all the islands. Pleasant all year round, bright from April to November.
Cyclades · The caldera
White villages clinging to the volcano’s cliff face, the sea 300 metres below, the sunsets of Oia. The most spectacular island in the Aegean is best enjoyed early in the morning and in the evening, away from the crowds.
A 45-minute flight from Athens, or 5–8 hours by ferry from Piraeus. A long season, from April to October.
Cyclades · The windmills
Chora lines up its white lanes and bougainvillea, the windmills stand over the harbour, Little Venice dips its feet in the water. And 20 minutes away by boat, ancient Delos, the sacred island of Apollo.
A 40-minute flight from Athens, or 2.5–5 hours by ferry. Lively in summer, gentle in May and September.
The great island
Knossos and the Minoan civilisation, the Venetian harbours of Chania and Rethymnon, the Samaria Gorge, olive groves as far as the eye can see: Crete is toured like a country in its own right.
A 50-minute flight from Athens to Heraklion or Chania, or an overnight ferry. A long season from April to November.
Dodecanese · The island of the Knights
The medieval old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, still has its city walls intact, along with the Palace of the Grand Master. Lindos stacks its white houses below the acropolis, above a sandy bay.
A 1-hour flight from Athens. The sunniest island in the country, with long seasons from April to November.
Thessaly · The monasteries in the sky
Monasteries perched on towers of grey sandstone, between sky and plain. One of Europe’s great sacred landscapes, striking at daybreak, when the mist still clings to the rocks.
A 4-hour drive from Athens, or a direct train to Kalambaka. Spring and autumn shoulder seasons are ideal; modest dress is required in the monasteries.
Ionian islands · The green island
An old town of Venetian façades, olive groves a century old, deep-water coves in the north. Corfu is the gentlest of the Ionian islands, green right down to the water’s edge.
A 1-hour flight from Athens, or a ferry from Igoumenitsa. Green and in bloom from April, swimming until October.
Phocis · The sanctuary
Clinging to the slopes of Mount Parnassus, the sanctuary of Apollo once ruled the ancient world: people came from across the Mediterranean to consult the Pythia. The theatre, the stadium and the museum’s Charioteer can all be seen in a single day.
A 3-hour drive from Athens, often combined with Hosios Loukas. Superb light in the late afternoon.
Peloponnese · The first capital
Bourtzi sitting on the water, the Palamidi fortress above the rooftops, neoclassical lanes full of flowering balconies: the most elegant town in the Peloponnese, close to both Epidaurus and Mycenae.
A 2-hour drive from Athens. Perfect all year round; the theatre at Epidaurus comes alive on summer evenings.
Macedonia · The second city
A waterfront that never seems to end, the White Tower, listed Byzantine churches and food that is talked about all over the country. Thessaloniki keeps a northern rhythm: full of students, always ready for a good meal.
A 55-minute flight from Athens. Beautiful in spring and autumn; Halkidiki takes over in summer.
Epirus · The stone villages
Forty-six villages of grey stone, hump-backed stone bridges, the Vikos Gorge among the deepest in the world, and the turquoise waters of the Voidomatis: Greece’s best-preserved mountain country.
Via Ioannina, 1 hour by air from Athens then 45 minutes by road. Green in spring, ablaze with colour in autumn.
Attica · The temple facing the sea
At the southern tip of Attica, the Temple of Poseidon has watched over the sea for 25 centuries. People come for the sunset, when the columns turn the colour of honey.
An hour and a quarter’s drive from Athens, along the coast. Combine it with the late afternoon and the sunset.
Peloponnese · The birthplace of the Games
In the valley of the Alpheus, the sanctuary of Zeus saw the birth of the Games nearly 3,000 years ago. The ancient stadium is crossed on foot, the museum holds the Hermes of Praxiteles.
A 3.5-hour drive from Athens, a natural stop on the Peloponnese loop with Nafplio and Mystras.
